Wind power—a flawed technology

Wind power is marketed crudely and aggressively: most people say they think it is a good thing so, therefore, it is. The extravagant claims are made by celebrities, not engineers. An evaluation of the experiments in Denmark and Germany reveals a less than rosy picture even in papers written by the technology’s proponents.

No country can carry such a high proportion of renewables because of their inherent unpredictability—as Denmark has found with wind… A high Scottish output has to be dispersed throughout the far larger markets of the south.
